Hair into
skin
This system takes a tissue thin urethane foundation that is
totally transparent. Hair is strand by strand injected into the
foundation. This technique gives the client a natural hair flow
with his or hers existing hair. The clients own scalp becomes
the background so hair appears to be coming out of the client
head.
Hair into lace
The most natural system to use as a hairline for men and
women without a surgical procedure. Allows clients to comb hair
straight back or any other direction, hairline is totally
undetectable. Can be applied to a full or partial system.
Replacement for Women
For many
years wigs and falls were the only replacements available for
women. Now many more options are available as discussed on these
pages.
Attachments
There are two types of hair wear attachments.
1. Daily Wear - This type of hair wear system is for the client
who wants to remove the system on a regular basis. The system
can be left on for a period of time and readjusted at the
clients convenience. These systems are attached with a
waterproof tape a high tack glue or hair clips that attach to
the clients hair, or a combination of both.
2. Semi Permanent attachment - This method allows the clients to
keep the system on for approximately 4 to 6 weeks. The client
returns to the salon for a complete service, shampoo, cut and
reconditioned. We provide two types of reattachment perimeter or
full head Bonding. The other is micro linking were a
small grommet is attached to the perimeter of the clients hair
and the system is then attached.
Hair Extensions
One of
the most popular trends today are hair extensions.
Many actresses and singers and everyday people are
taking advantage of this method.
What are
hair extensions?
Hair
extensions are wefts or single strands of hair
attached to the clients existing hair to create
length and or volume.
Hair extensions can also be used to create "instant
highlights" a benefit for anyone who does not want
to spend hundreds of dollars and countless hours in
a hair salon. These "Instant highlights" can be
achieved quickly and affordable.
Who is a
candidate for extensions?
Anyone
who has fine damaged hair and is looking for
thickness and length.
Anyone who wants a dramatic change for a wedding or
special event.
Anyone who wants to see what you will look like with highlights.
Basically extensions are for everyone, however, not
everyone existing hair is strong enough for
extensions this is where our free consultation comes
in. Our technician will examine your hair to see if
you are a proper candidate for them.
Methods
of attachment
There
are several ways to attach hair extensions below you
will see the methods available and the pros and cons
of each. Please be advised although all the methods
attachments are listed below, our facility
specializes in only one. We have determined that
"Micro Links" is the best for us. All the other
procedures put too much strain on existing hair or
are extremely messy to clean.
Weaving
There
are many different forms of weaving. All require
the hair extension to be sewn onto existing hair
many of these methods are damaging to your own hair
and in some cases will lead to baldness or alopecia
tracking (see horseshoe weave). We use the
micro-link system to attach hair extensions this
method is the least stressful on existing hair under
normal hair care will not cause and balding.
Horseshoe Weave
Tight braids or cornrows around the
circumference of the head the extensions are then
sewn into the braid.
Bonding
The extensions are glued
directly to the scalp with a "silicone like"
substance.
Micro-Links
A small tube or link is attached to the
clients hair, wefts or extensions are attached to
the micro links there is no clue or weaving
involved. The attachment stays in the clients hair
approximately four to six weeks and then service is
required. The links are removed, readjusted in a
new position and the wefts and extensions are
reattached.
